Small Pack size, Big Deal!

Why we care about Pack size, and you should too

S-tubos – world’s smallest bicycle tubes

At Tubolito we see ourselves as tube engineers, trying to develop tubes that meet all the needs of cyclists. With S-Tubos, we have developed a tube with a pack size that is 80 % smaller! But why should you care?

While puncture resistance and weight savings are pretty obvious benefits, pack size is not immediately obvious.

The advantages of a small pack size are:

  • Ideal as a spare tube: It fits easily in the pocket of your jersey.
  • In tubeless setups, when everything fails, a spare tube can save the day. The small size of a rolled-up S-Tubo is a huge advantage, making it an ideal companion that really does not take up a lot of space.
  • Since the S-Tubos are so small and pocketable, you can carry 2 along on your ride and, if need be, help out a friend in need.
  • Smaller products are also good for the environment, of course. The packaging of our S-Tubos takes up half the space of the regular Tubos. That means we can fit twice as many on every shipment. This reduces the Co2 footprint considerably when sending S-Tubos all over the world.

With the S-Tubo-Road series, we offer the 80 mm version with a removable valve stem. So even if you have a high rim, you still have the advantage of the small pack size for your spare tube.

All S-Tubo-MTB have the removable valve stem as well.

For gravel riders, the 42 and 60 mm S-Tubo-CX/Gravel-All are the perfect companion in your pocket on those rocky trails.

In addition to all these advantages, S-Tubos offer the same puncture resistance as a standard butyl innertube,
